The Urban Pagan Spirit

I want!

Designer John Paananen decided to "take the fused nomadic home designs of the yurt, tipi, and igloo and slip the straitjacket of suburban values, materials, and methods of construction over them." The result is the Suburban Tipi.

I love the cool interior. It has plastic laminate flooring, a concrete fireplace, carpet tiles, and hardboard panels. It's spacious too at about 18' in diameter and 16' tall.

It looks gorgeous lit up at night. I don't even want to know how much this costs. Moving on.

I want my own gypsy vardo! Talk about camping in style.

The interior is fantastic. It has quite a lot of space saving furniture and even a sink with running water. The best part? The creator, Rachel, tells you just how to make it on her website.

Did you notice the PKS Altar on John Paananen's site? It's über-cool.

Yeah, I thought it was tres minimalist. None of my stuff fit on there! LOL

True. If I tried to set it up to my liking, it would fall off the wall. But I still think it's cool.

Oh hey, I'm trying to get a meme going. Tag!

The concrete "fire pit" needs to be a lot bigger, or there are going to be a lot of little charred holes in the nice floor.

Otherwise, cool idea.

These are both so very cool. I've always wanted to live in a vardo but the tipi igloo thing is pretty rocking too.
