Equinox Day

Happy Spring Equinox!

It wouldn't be spring without rain and, indeed, it's raining as I type. But this morning was lovely! Bright and crisp. Since I got to work early today, I decided to snap a few photos.

Here we have a view westward towards Brickell and my neighborhood in Little Havana. That's the Miami River there. Notice the big, red M at the entrance of the Metromover station. That's one of those "art in public places" things. That sucker is 45 feet tall.

Here's a shot just to the right of the previous one. It's just some of the highways and a litle glimpse of the construction going on here.

Facing east, you see a lot more construction going on. You can also see two Metromovers passing each others. These are free, small shuttles that go round the Downtown area.

And here's the Bank of America Tower. It's probably my favorite building Downtown. It's just a beautiful office tower, with dramatic three glass tiers and nighttime illuminations. It also has a lovely outdoor terrace in the sky lobby, which is where I stood to take these pictures.

Thanks for the pics. I've never been to Miami before so it was good to see a view shots.
